New Qualifications for 2016/17

Construction Skills

The Certa Level 3 Certificate in Construction Skills will prepare learners who are currently qualified or working at Level 3 to progress towards Level 4 vocationally focussed qualifications including Higher National Certificates (HNC) and Higher National Diplomas (HND). It will support those who are experienced at working in the Construction industry and are looking for study and career progression opportunities. 

Extended Certificates in Using Employability Skills

The Certa Entry Level Extended Certificates in Using Employability Skills (Entry 1,  Entry 2 and Entry 3) complement our existing suite and will assist learners who need support for their development, including those with learning difficulties and disabilities. They prepare these learners for the world of work by developing some basic work skills and trying out a number of vocational areas.

Extended Certificates in Skills for Further Learning and Employment

The Certa Entry 3 and Level 1 Extended Certificates in Skills for Further Learning and Employment complement our existing suite and will help learners to overcome barriers to work by re-engaging them in learning. They will enable learners to study subjects in a range of vocational areas, through a flexible course that can be tailored to their needs.

Extended Certificates in Progression

The Certa Entry 3 and Level 1 Extended Certificates in Progression complement our existing suite and will help learners to overcome personal barriers and assist them in moving to their next steps in learning or training.  They enable learners to study a range of subjects through a flexible course that can be tailored to their needs.

Assessment Design

The Certa Level 5 Certificate in Assessment Design will support the development of learners employed in the Further Education and Training, Higher Education, or Awarding Body sectors, either as employees or contractors. The qualification will provide a theoretical framework and practical underpinning to enable the learner to achieve professional excellence and best practice in the design of both summative and formative assessment.
