An un-regulated unit is a bespoke unit which has been written by our Centres and quality assured by us.
- Can be selected on its own or with other units to make up a course with its own title
- Cannot be included in a qualification
- A learner can achieve a Certa certificate with these unit titles listed under the course title

What is the RQF?
The Regulated Qualifications Framework aims to provide a simple yet flexible structure that allows for the maintenance and continuing development of a qualifications system that is:
It allows achievements to be recognised and recorded through the award of credits and qualifications. It supports the accumulation and transfer of credits and the easy identification of each achievement’s level and size. In this way, learners have maximum flexibility and range of opportunities and can be reliably recognised for their achievements.
What are Levels, Credits, GLH and TQT?
An indication of the relative demand, complexity and/or depth of achievement, and / or the autonomy of the learner in demonstrating that achievement.

The number of credits that may be awarded to a learner for the successful achievement of the learning outcomes of a unit as above
Guided Learning Hours (GLH)
GLH are defined as the number of hours of teacher-supervised or directed study time required to achieve a qualification or unit of a qualification. Each unit is assigned credit values and GLH in accordance with Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) guidance.
One credit is 10 notional hours of learning.
